Vermouth Moderne – The Clumsy Bear (75 cl)

A white vermouth with lots of personality – made from Gewürztraminer and Muskateller in Southern Germany. Perfumed, fresh and spicy. Perfect in cocktails or just over ice.

Vermouth Moderne was launched in 2021 and has since become a new darling among vermouth lovers across the country. It is the result of a collaboration between Naja and Frederik from Den Klodsede Bjørn and German vermouth master Heiko Hoos. It is produced in the Palatinate, Southern Germany and is made with Gewürztraminer and Muskateller from Hoos' own family farm.

The style is Italian inspired with a flavor profile that balances sweetness, acidity and spices in an elegant way. On the nose you are met by floral and aromatic notes with clear hints of the aromatic grapes, as well as a lift of citrus, juniper, lemon verbena, coriander seeds and cardamom. The taste is fresh and lively with clear notes of grapefruit and dry herbs. A taste impression that is both charming and full of character.

Vermouth Moderne is incredibly versatile: Use it in classic cocktails like the Martini, Manhattan or Negroni. Make a crisp highball with tonic or grapefruit soda. Or enjoy it simply over ice with a slice of orange.

Small crystals may appear at the bottom of the bottle. A natural sign of the wine's high mineral content and quality.
