At Domaine Agapé in Riquewihr, sparkling wine is not about compromise, it’s a craft in itself. Their Brut Millésimé 2023 is created from a blend of Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Blanc (30%), all grown organically in limestone and marl soils on the slopes around Riquewihr and Hunawihr.

The wine is produced using the méthode traditionnelle with secondary fermentation in the bottle and 18 months of aging on the lees, which gives structure, depth and delicate bubbles. The dosage is kept low (5 g/l), resulting in a tight, dry and elegant crémant with nerve and finesse.

The nose opens with citrus, white flowers and green apples, followed by fine notes of brioche and lightly toasted almonds. The palate is fresh and mineral, with creamy mousse and precise acidity and a finish that is sharp without being sharp.

Crémant Millésimé is a portrait of the vintage and of winemaker Vincent Sipp's uncompromising approach: pure wines with clear origins and without unnecessary noise.
